Barrday has a broad product offering for aircraft interior and structural prepregs.  For phenolic based prepregs, the company has the additional capability of manufacturing its own phenolic resins giving Barrday the ability to custom target its resin system’s performance towards the particular application.  Barrday phenolic prepreg systems offer excellent flame, smoke and toxicity properties and provide the highest self adhesive properties to aramid honeycomb available on the market today.  Several epoxy systems can be supplied in fire resistant formulations as well. 

Barrday offers a number of specifically designed prepregs for aerospace structural applications, ranging from low temperature curing epoxies to high performance polyimides.  The product offering will meet the exacting needs of the marketplace for high performance structural applications.

LC194
LC194 is an advanced phenolic prepreg system that is self-adhesive to aramid/phenolic and honeycomb core.  LC194 offers very good and consistent adhesion property values (climbing drum peel strength) over a wide range of cure/laminating conditions.  LC194 is self-extinguishing, and meets flammability requirements for use in aircraft interiors. 

LC195
LC195 is a specifically developed phenolic prepreg system that is adhesive to aramid/phenolic honeycomb core.  LC195 uses a unique phenolic resin, developed and manufactured by Lewcott that allows 10 minute cure cycles in a hot press and can be used in crush core applications.  LC195 does not blister or delaminate due to the special chemistry phenolic resin. LC195 is self-extinguishing, and meets flammability requirements for use in aircraft interiors. 

LC196
LC196 is an advanced, snap curing phenolic prepreg system that is self-adhesive to aramid/phenolic and aluminum honeycomb core.  LC196 offers very good and consistent adhesion property values (climbing drum peel strength) over a wide range of cure/laminating conditions.  LC196 is self-extinguishing, and meets flammability requirements for use in aircraft interiors. 

EP255
EP255 is a modified epoxy that is cured in the 235 to 275ºF (113 to 135ºC) temperature range.  It is self-adhesive to aramid and aluminum honeycomb. EP255 exhibits very good strength properties and can be used for a wide variety of structural applications.  This modified epoxy prepreg is self-extinguishing, and passes the 60 Second Vertical Ignition Test listed in FAR 25.853.

FA EP255SP Film Adhesive
FA EP255SP is a toughened, high peel strength, fire resistant supported film adhesive is designed for a variety of bonding applications including metal to metal, composite to core or metal to core. Sandwich constructions include can aramid, aluminum and various foams.

EP2551
EP2551 is an advanced epoxy prepreg system that is specifically designed for increased peel strength.  It provides excellent adhesion to both aluminum and aramid honeycomb and has outstanding fire resistance.  This system can be used for a wide variety of structural and aerospace applications.

EP255N
EP255N is a modified epoxy that is cured in the 235 to 275ºF (113 to 135ºC) temperature range.  It is self-adhesive to aramid and aluminum honeycomb. EP255N exhibits excellent strength properties and can be used for a wide variety of structural and aerospace applications.  EP255N meets the requirements of MIL-R-9300B, type 1.  EP255N has excellent resistance to ethylene glycol, hydrocarbon fluids and oils, Skydrol and water.

EP258
EP258 is a modified 250°F (121ºC) curing epoxy system that meets vertical burn requirements.  EP258 has an excellent balance of mechanical, thermal and flammability properties.  EP258 provides a Tg of 323ºF (162ºC) without the use of a post cure.

EP350
EP350 is a high temperature curing, modified epoxy.  It is self extinguishing, passing the 60 Second Vertical Ignition Test listed in FAR 25.853.  EP350 offers an excellent combination of toughness and a high glass transition temperature of 356oF (180ºC).  EP350 is capable of curing at temperatures as low as 275ºF (135ºC) and is capable of a free standing post cure.

EP3552
EP3552 is a thermoplastic modified epoxy system with an outstanding combination of strength, toughness and elevated temperature performance.  EP3552 displays a glass transition temperature approaching 400°F (204ºC).  EP3552 can be cured as low as 250°F (121ºC) and after post cure, reach this glass transition temperature.

LC909
LC909 is a high temperature curing, high performance bismaleimide system.  LC909 offers outstanding mechanical properties and a very high glass transition temperature of 626ºF (330ºC).
